Ukrainian-Sri Lankan business forum

June 30, 2010 Director of the European Law Group - Olena Omelchenko, together with the legal adviser Iryna Koliadiuk took part in the Ukrainian-Sri Lankan business forum  in Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine, which was held during the visit of the President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa, who was accompanied by a delegation of businessmen.

The Forum began with a plenary part and continued in the form of individual negotiations between the Ukrainian and Sri Lankan businessmen.
The structure of the business delegation included representatives of Sri Lankan companies interested in establishing cooperation with the Ukrainian entrepreneurs in the following areas:

• export of tea to Ukraine, garments, coir and related products (twine from coconut fibers, coconut staple fiber; hydroponic bags for growing plants, bricks / Disc / bales, made from coconut shell and peat , anti-corrosive coating expired, brooms and brushes, activated charcoal, solid tire tires, chinaware, precious and semiprecious stones for making jewelry;
• imports of sugar, steel, electric generators;
• investment projects in tourism, infrastructure, production and supply, exploration and refining, etc.
